Nationally, while the actual number of students earning a composite score of 36 varies from year to year, roughly one-tenth of one percent receive a top score. Among test takers in the high school graduating class of 2009, only 638 of nearly 1.5 million students earned a composite score of 36.
The ACT consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of 1-36, and a student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores. Some students also take ACT’s optional Writing Test, but the score for that test is reported separately and is not included within the ACT composite score.

West Bend West was selected as #848, and West Bend East was selected as #1,126. Only 27 schools out of 552 public high schools in Wisconsin made the list. West ranked eighth out of the 27 selected schools and East ranked 14.
NEWSWEEK picks schools based on how hard school's staff work to challenge students with advanced-placement college-level courses and tests. Just over 1,600 schools—only 6 percent of all the public schools in the U.S.—made the list. Read more... |
