Congratulations to Mrs. Sargent – Badger’s Staff Member of the Month!
This is Mrs. Sargent’s 12th year at Badger Middle School where she currently teaches honors and regular integrated language arts classes. Her favorite part of teaching at Badger involves the everyday interactions that she has with her students. Inside jokes and playful banter are all a part of these fun exchanges with students. She also appreciates watching students reach an epiphany about concepts and ideas she is teaching in class. Mrs. Sargent loves her Badger family comprised of a group of colleges that feel like family. For this reason, she intends to teach at Badger Middle School for as long as possible.
Teaching has always been a part of Mrs. Sargent’s life. Her own personal career revelation came when she was in third grade. After student teaching, she was convinced that middle school was her personal calling. When not at school, Mrs. Sargent spends her free time with her husband andadoptedson who is 13 months. Being a mother has afforded Mrs. Sarget a new perspective on life. She strives to find a balance between the demands of school and her life with her family.
