After School Clubs and Activities

Badger is excited to announce the opportunity for all  7th and 8th grade students to participate in after school activities and clubs. These will be offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays from 3:20-4:15.

The offerings are free for the students. *Some may have an extra fee if they require additional equipment or transportation off campus.

The activities and clubs will be supervised and or taught by adults who work at Badger.

Tuesday Clubs 3:15-4:15

Badger Rocks!:  Do you love to paint? Do you love rocks? Well, here is your chance to love both at the same time! This club will focus on painting rocks.  Show your creativity and add in some kindness, as we will actually put some of these rocks out in the community for others to find. Mrs. Tortomasi in Room 313 ***Cap of 15

Board Game Club: Come relax and let out some laughter after school by playing some popular board games. Bring your own games or we will have some to play! Mrs. Bloedel’s Room 147 ***Cap of 15

Craft Club: Let your creativity shine! We will create a variety of scrapbook pages to document special memories that have happened in our lives as well as create beautiful, unique greeting cards for loved ones! Mrs. King’s room 205 ***Cap of 20

Crochet Club: Come learn the basics of crocheting. In this class we will learn the beginning stitches that will help you build your confidence. We will create some real pieces to take home and treasure! Mrs. Hunt’s Room 213 ***Cap of 10

Food Artists: If you’re looking to partake in delicious food and learn a new skill, this club is for you. From tasty drinks to flavorful snacks, this club will be sure to satisfy you. Mrs. Lotter and Mrs. Knoske in Room 120 ***Cap of 17

Sheepshead: Are you of German descent with family members who play this card game? Maybe you’ve seen this popular tournament at German Fest in West Bend? This complicated yet fun card game needs to be taught to the new generation before it dies out! Come and learn how to play! Mrs. Jackson’s Room 223 ***Cap of 10


Wednesday Clubs 3:20-4:15

Clay Club: Learn how to create ceramic pots using the pottery wheel. When you are not on the wheel, you can get creative with clay using your hand-building skills and make what you want to make. Mrs. Bloedel’s Room 147 ***Cap of 10

Creative Writing: Join a supportive community of young writers who unleash their creativity through paper and pen! Take time to focus on writing that you are passionate about! (with a published author herself)  Mrs. King’s Room 205

Fishing Club: Whatever your level of experience, think about joining Fishing Club. Three important things to note: We will start a week later than other clubs, the last 3 nights of the club end later (so you will miss the late bus and you need to schedule a parent pick-up in the Badger office parking lot), and we will be driving in a district van those last 3 nights to get to our “fishing holes”. You will need to fill out and return transportation permission forms, which will be provided on the first day of the club. Mr. Chamberlain’s Room 126 ***Cap of 9

  • April 24th and May 1st: instructional nights at Badger, ends at 4:15.

  • May 8th 15th: fish from shore at Camp Silverbrook, ends at 5:00. 

  • May 22nd: Silver Lake pontoon boats, again ending at 5:00.

Mafia Club: Mafia is a role play game told by a storyteller. Join this club if you enjoy mystery, suspense, creativity, and deceit. No two games are ever the same! Take turns being the narrator. Mrs. Jackson's rm 223 ***Cap of 25

Minecraft Club: Nick Hoffmann, from 2023 Minecraft Beta Club, has his official server up! Join to create your own clans and prepare for a war by mining and building a base. Then we will “go to war” against other clans. Eventually, we hope to invite other communities to run a “minecraft war”. Mr. Hoffmann in Room 150 *** You must have a Minecraft account through Java ( Bedrock will not work) to participate in this club. If you do not have one, it can be bought for $29.99 at: Java Minecraft


Thursday Clubs 3:20-4:15

Hobby Knight: We are excited to continue our partnership with the owners of Hobby Knight. They are offering free gaming sessions to students in our club! We will have a space to play games such as Magic, Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, etc. Walk to Hobby Knight with Ms. Olds- meet in front of the library at 3:20 pm (parents pick up from Hobby Knight at 4:30- NO LATE BUS OPTION) ***Cap of 20

Open Art Studio Club: Do you love art, but couldn’t fit it into your schedule? Do you need extra time to work on your art? This club will be open studio time for artists who want to expand on projects from art class, create their own art project, or collaborate with other artists on this year’s mural. Join Mrs. Bloedel/Mrs. Bartelt in Room 146. 

Talent Show: Behind the Scenes Club: Are you thinking about trying out for the talent show? Are you interested in helping as a stagehand or an EMCEE? Or would you like to help make posters and programs to build hype for the show? This is the club for you! We can’t wait for our students to SHINE on the stage of the Silver Lining! Our big community night performance is Monday, June 3, and the all school show is Tuesday, June 4. Mr. Gehrman, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. King 1st FLOOR MAC.

Walking Club: Are you interested in getting outside, enjoying the beautiful spring air, and enjoying each other’s company while making new friends? We will walk and talk around West Bend, with possible stops at nearby parks and downtown. Please come dressed for the weather with walking shoes. Mrs. Lotter and Mrs. Knoske in room 148. ***Cap of 25 ***This club will start one week later on April 25th.


Friday Clubs 3:20-4:15  - NO Late Bus Route available for Friday Club

Chess Club: Come unwind at the end of a long week and play the ultimate game of mental will: CHESS. This club is for anyone from beginners to advanced players, you may bring your own chessboard. Ms. Olds, meet in the cafeteria

Jewelry Making: Create a beaded necklace, make a friendship bracelet, or learn how to wrap wire around stones and beads to create your own unique piece of jewelry. Mrs. Bloedel’s Room 147 ***Cap of 12

Spring Wrestling Club: Are you an experienced or beginner wrestler who would like to commit to year-round training? Join the Spring Wrestling Club to learn and practice all three styles of wrestling: Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco. It will challenge you both mentally and physically!
