The preschool programs through the West Bend School District foster in children a sense of empowerment to grow their social and emotional skills so they become independent, confident learners. Further, it is our mission to inspire a love of learning in each child through active, hands-on, and play-based learning experiences that honor the spirit of a preschool child. We offer a variety of preschool options to families:


The West Bend School District is the Head Start provider for Washington County. Children ages 3-5 who meet income eligibility guidelines can attend Head Start at one of three locations:

- Rolfs Education Center (West Bend)
- Kettle Moraine YMCA (West Bend)
- Jackson Community Center (Jackson)

Head Start



Using a community-based model, the district has developed rich partnerships with various local agencies for our 4K program. These partners include:
 

- Kettle Moraine YMCA (WEST BEND: West Washington St., Trinity Lutheran Church, NEWBURG: Holy Trinity Church with Riveredge Nature Center
- Montessori Children’s House (West Bend)
- Living Word Child Development Center (Jackson)
- Jackson Area Community Center (Jackson)

The Rolfs Education Center features specialized instruction for children ages of 3-6 who are eligible for special education services.
